This year, the well known Glitter Guide turned seven years old. Their small but mighty team has been working completely remote, powering the women's lifestyle blog from different ends of the country. When working remotely on a team, new challenges can pop up (which is why Glitter Guide created a travel series that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how their team makes it work).
Once a quarter, their founder and business manager (Taylor + Sam), get together to handle business face-to-face in Taylor’s current location of San Francisco. And of course, celebrate the birthday in person together.
Because it is important to be able to focus on the business together in person, the Glitter Guide team have relied on Alaska Air. Both the founder and business manager are mothers, so being able to fly with an airline that has flexibility is important to them.
For the birthday trip, they stayed at The Inn at Union Square, a super cute boutique hotel in San Francisco.
For the celebration, Clare V. partnered with them to throw an amazing birthday party and shopping event! Guests were able to mingle and browse through stunning handbags, accessories and apparel while sipping on delicious rosé.
The event was topped with bites from Le Marais Bakery, beautiful florals from Marigold SF, and pieces from several of our collections (including our Goddess Peach Blush Colorblock Cups, featured above).
Plus, they got to hang out with industry friends and partners who came to help celebrate and support the team.
While working remote has its challenges, celebrations like these and the ability to travel helps the team connect and stay stronger than ever!
